  I saw a car and phoned the garage and spoke to two different men advising that I was travelling some distance with my pregnant wife (1hr15mins) specifically to look at a vehicle, and asking them if they could hold it just until we arrived. They confirmed it would be no problem and I have them my details. We arrived to see the vehicle in question with a SOLD sign in the window and assumed it was perhaps to put other people off so we could view it but oh no, they told us they had just sold it. I was flabbergasted and told them they'd agreed to hold it until I arrived. Both of the chaps I had spoken to were present and the first one just said sorry but these things happen and had the cheek to say there were other vehicles on the forecourt if we were interested or that if I wanted them to look out for another similar vehicle they could try and locate one for me. I told him I would not be doing that when I couldn't trust their word on something as basic as a viewing. The other chap was even more dismissive and shrugged his shoulders and said if he had a penny for everyone who didn't show up he'd be a millionaire. I have to say I am disgusted at the lack of any real concern for us, but especially for my pregnant wife. So we got back in our car and drove the 1hr 15mins home again. Needless to say I would never use this garage. My parents always used to say the measure of good service isn't what happens when everything goes well but when things go wrong. Things went wrong but they weren't bothered. Enough said.
